"Get Real" Tips

The Holiday Season is a Great Time to Connect
'Tis the season for socializing and catching up with
friends, family, and colleagues. Relationships are
integral in both your personal life and work life.
Additionally, if you're currently in a transition,
staying connected through your informal networks can
help you keep abreast of current real world business
issues and trends.
Make the most of your holiday networking
opportunities and accept invitations to chamber mixers,
holiday luncheons, dinners, or cocktails. And, to make
sure you've got the appropriate attire as requested on
the invitation, check out our free guideline to Dress
Codes for Social Events.

Rinker & Associates Helps CASA Programs
I volunteer as Board President for Child Advocates of
Placer County, a local CASA (Court Appointed Special
Advocate) program. I'm so excited about the upcoming
premier gala event on February 2, 2008 at Johnson Hall
in Roseville California, which will benefit our program!
There are approximately 370 abused, neglected and
abandoned kids going through the Placer County Juvenile
Dependency Courts on an annual basis. Only 10-percent of
those children are currently being served by a CASA
volunteer. We want to serve 100 more kids by 2009 and
you can help make this happen!
If you're interested in sponsorship of our event or in
learning more about how you can help, please contact me
directly at lorraine@casaplacer.org, the CASA Placer
County office at 530- 887-1006, or info@casaplacer.org.
